EdgeSwitch offers the ability to transmit and process traffic on all ports simultaneously without any packet loss. The 48-port models are capable of handling total non-blocking throughput up to 70 Gbps.
EdgeSwitch series switches offer a rich set of advanced Layer 2 switching functions and protocols, and have Layer 3 routing capabilities.
Two SFP ports support links up to 1 Gbps. For high throughput links, each model with 48 ports contains the two SFP+ ports for links up to 10 Gbps.
EdgeSwitch® has automatic IEEE 802.3af/at and 24V passive PoE detection to power multiple devices on the network.
The versatile user interface is easy to learn and allows administrators to configure and monitor functions in the graphical interface. For advanced users, a command line interface (CLI) is available via telnet and SSH.

PoE settings for ports 1-48 are set to PoE+ by default, so 802.3af/at devices can be connected and receive PoE automatically.
Before running 24 V passive PoE, make sure the connected device supports PoE and has a supply voltage.
1. Go to the Dashboard screen.
2. For the Ethernet port that you want to configure, click the PoE button in the drop-down menu.
3. Select the appropriate mode of operation: Off, 24 V or PoE+.
