The TLSF1048 has 48 RJ45 10/100Mbps ports and uses technology that allows you to increase your network throughput with great energy savings. The device automatically adjusts the power consumption depending on the connection status and cable length, taking care to save energy and thus protect the environment. The switch complies with the European RoHS Directive, which limits the use of equipment made of environmentally hazardous materials. The switch's packaging is 80% recyclable. The TL-SF1048 Switch is designed to be mounted in a rack.
The TL-SF1048 10/100 Mbps switch is designed to meet the needs of the most demanding workgroups for departmental communication. 48 ports support auto MDI/MDIX, so there is no need for crossover cables. The device uses non-blocking architecture, which allows packets to be transferred and filtered at maximum speed provided by the ports. Support for IEEE 802.3x flow control protocol for full-duplex connections and backpressure for half-duplex connections are a guarantee of smooth packet transfer and high performance.
The 48-port Fast Ethernet Switch TL-SF1048 is designed for users with high demands on network connection quality. It is easy to use and has no complex management functions. When turned on, the switch automatically starts working, there is no need to configure it beforehand.

Unmanaged switch:
We are not able to configure an unmanaged switch because it does not support any configuration interface. It is a plug-and-play switch, so just connect your computer or other network devices directly to it. If you don't need any L2 functions, but just want to expand the number of Ethernet ports, the unmanaged switch is the right choice.
Easy Smart Switch:
You can use the Utility or Web interface (Web only for TL-SG1016DE and TL-SG1024DE) to manage an easy, intelligent switch and to configure basic settings such as VLAN, QoS and several L2 functions, e.g. LAG, IGMP Snooping and Port Mirroring. If there is no need for advanced applications, Easy Smart Switch is the best solution. Easy Smart Switches are most often used in homes, small businesses or SOHO.
Smart Switch
The Smart Switch can be managed via web, Telnet, SSH and SNMP interfaces. It supports much more L2 functions and has better QoS than Easy Smart Switch. It also supports more advanced features such as ACL and Spanning Tree protocol. If you need a switch for a small business, the Smart Switch will be an indispensable device.
L2 Managed Switch
L2 Managed Switch has a console port for CLI (Command Line Interface), all management modes and the advanced features that Smart Switch has. The L2 Managed Switch is equipped with numerous VLAN and Multicast functions, as well as a cluster for logical stacking and network security functions, including 802.1X and IP-MAC binding. The L2 Managed Switch can therefore be used to build a robust and accessible network or even a small ISP access network.
L3 Managed Switch
L3 Managed Switch has several L3 functions, such as traditional router, i.e. static routing, routing protocol such as OSPF and ECMP, multicast routing protocol and DHCP relay.
Compared to a traditional router, the L3 provides better performance with respect to packet routing speed. It is mostly used in medium-sized businesses, providing better hardware performance.
