This device allows to use any 48V PoE source (including passive PoE, Telecom PoE, 802.3af and 802.3at) to power RouterBOARD devices. Simply connect any Ethernet cable powered by 48V PoE to one port, and any RouterBOARD device supporting 8-30V to another port. This device is able to provide high output power up to 24W (up to 1A at 24V).
The device is a robust construction with high quality components and an integrated heat sink construction. The housing also has mounting holes so that it can be attached to a wall. Shielded Ethernet pins are located inside the Ethernet connectors, so you can use shielded Ethernet to ground either on the converter itself or on devices at both ends. Supports 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet.

RouterBOARD is a hardware platform from MikroTik, which is a line of routers with RouterOS operating system. Almost all models of RouterBOARD devices can be powered via Ethernet (PoE) and have a connector for an external power source.
PoE allows you to use a single cable for power and data transmission, saving you money on purchasing and laying cables for network devices and VoiP phones.
MikroTik RouterOS is the operating system of the router and software that allows a PC or Mikrotik RouterBoard to be a dedicated router.
