Huawei MA5608T

Huawei MA5608T is the world's first OLT terminal to combine the functionality of an aggregation switch and router. The MA5608T can be installed in residential areas, thus reducing the consumption of ODN optical backbone cables. The device supports ADSL2+, SHDSL, POTS, GPON, 10G GPON and P2P access modes and provides Internet, voice and video services to subscribers. This smallest OLT from Huawei can serve up to 4096 users at a time. The terminal can be used as a mini-OLT to support GPON and 10G GPON and as mini-DSLAM supporting ADSL2+, VDSL2, SHDSL.

Aggregation management for remote sites

The terminal supports aggregation management and Plug-and-Playfor remote sites. This eliminates the need for local software launch and OSS integration and facilitates management. The management of remote devices focuses on OLT through GE aggregation, so service configuration, maintenance of remote sites or software updates can be done via OLT, which greatly simplifies the complexity of theFTTx network control process.

To maintain continuity of service, the MA5608T provides 3 protection mechanisms - network side, access side and device side.
