The Extralink DVP-740 is a highly efficient fiber optic welder equipped with a patented, multifunctional fibre holder. It can be used for single mode, multimode, DS, NZDS, Bending Loss Insensitive Fiber (G657), pigtails, subscriber cables and connectors and for SOC (Splice-On-Connector) fibres and cables. It has fully automatic digital centering to the core (PAS technology). It is equipped with a large, easy to read 4.3-inch colour LCD display. It offers the possibility of testing the strength of the weld after the welding operation. It allows to work at heights up to 5000 m.
The device is characterized by compact size and low weight, its size is about 40% smaller than traditional fiber optic welders. The innovative design guarantees shock and drop resistance. It has an automatic system check function, which makes sure that the welder is in proper condition.
