DXS-3600-32S/SI is a 24-port 10 Gigabit SFP+ L2+ removable manageable Top-of-Tack (Standard Image) switch with expansion slot. The switch is characterized by high performance with low switching time and routing over 10G Ethernet cable. The switch is equipped with replaceable power supplies, which can be replaced during operation, and thanks to 1U height and airflow front-to-back or back-to-front, Swtich is designed for use in large enterprises or campuses.
The DXS-3600-32S/SI switch provides two different software images. Standard software image (Standard Image -Si) including various Layer 2, VLAN, multicasting, Quality of Service(QoS), security, data center, and static routing functions. The (Enhanced Image -EL) image consists of IPv4/V6 routing functions including RIP, VRRP, OSPF, BDP and L3 multicasting functions such as IGMP, MLD PIM-DM, SM, SDM, SSM and DVMRP. This allows the switch to be deployed as a master layer router in large companies or as an aggregation router in an MPLS environment.
The switch uses Data Center Bridging (DCB) extension, which is a necessary extension of the Ethernet network in data networks. DGX-3600-32S/SI switch uses key elements of Data Center Bridging (DCB) such as IEEE 802.1Qbb, IEEE 802.1Qaz and IEEE 802.1Qau. IEEE 802.1Qbb ( based on Flow Control prioritization). This allows to control data flow over the network without data loss during network overload (Enhanced Transmission Selection) manages bandwidth allocation between different traffic classes. IEEE 802.1Qau (congestion notification) allows to manage congestion for data flows in network domains to avoid congestion.
Switch DXS-3600 allows users to change the airflow using different power supply and fan configurations. The front-to-back or back-to-front airflow maximizes air cooling to provide more efficient cooling in data center rack systems. The switch also has a built-in intelligent fan and an internal heat sensor. The systems monitor and detect temperature changes and automatically adjust the fan rotation speed.
