DXS-1100-16SC is a 10 port 10 Gigabit smart switch that provides a basic solution for small and medium enterprises that want to deploy 10GB Ethernet. The device has 2 10 GBase-T ports, instantly increasing network capacity compared to standard Cat 6a cabling without rebuilding existing network infrastructure cabling. The DXS-1100-16SC also has 14x 10 Gigabit SFP+ fiber optic ports for additional network connectivity flexibility. The device supports an intuitive client tool (SmartConsole Utility or D-Link Network Assistant Utility) and a web-based management interface.

The client tool allows customers to discover all the switches of the D-Link Smart Switch family in the same L2 network segment. With this tool, users do not need to change their computer's IP address, making the initial configuration of smart switches quick and easy. Switches in the same L2 network segment that are connected to the user's computer are displayed on the screen for immediate access. This allows wide configuration of the switches and basic configuration of detected devices, including password change and firmware update.
