The ePMP 4600 6 GHz access point series is the fourth generation based on 802.11ax technology. Equipped with 4×4 MU-MIMO and dual overlapping sectors, the ePMP 4600 can transmit up to two subscriber modules at the same time. This effectively doubles the throughput of 2×2 systems, while increasing the link budget by 3 dB through downlink beam steering. Combining 160 MHz channel width, 4096QAM and OFDMA, the ePMP 4600 provides a total throughput of up to 4 Gbps for up to 120 subscribers.
The entire ePMP 4600 series of access points is managed with cnMaestro™, and networks can be planned with LINKPlanner. Both tools are available free of charge from Cambium Networks. The ePMP 4600 series is the first ePMP access point to operate in the 6 GHz band. The ePMP 4600 covers the band from 5.725 GHz to 7.125 GHz, depending on local regulatory restrictions. For the FCC market, the ePMP 4600 uses Automatic Frequency Coordination (AFC) services to ensure compatibility with 6 GHz operation.
