TheZyxel NSG300 is a firewall with 6 RJ45 1000Mbps LAN ports and 2 RJ45 1000Mbps WAN ports. With Zyxel Nebula technology, NSG300 are quickly and easily deployed to remote locations in automatic mode using the cloud. It automatically configures access policies and configuration settings, downloads microcode and signature updates from the cloud and installs them; eliminates the need for a security specialist.
Nebula's cloud interface provides site-wide visualization and control, allowing system administrators to manage event logs, traffic statistics, bandwidth consumption, network clients and application usage without access to individual devices. It is now much easier to build a VPN for secure communication with the Branch Offices. Using Zyxel Nebula NSG300, you can quickly set up a site-to-site or hub-and-spoke VPN connection with just a few mouse clicks in Nebula Control Center-now you don't need complicated VPN setup procedures!
The Nebula Intrusion Detection and Prevention System scans various layers and protocols to find security vulnerabilities that cannot be found with simple port-based and protocol-based firewalls. Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology and the use of a malicious code signature database eliminates security system false positives and provides effective protection against hidden vulnerability threats. The NSG300 Zyxel Nebula Gateway can identify, categorize and monitor social networking, gaming, tasking and other Internet applications along with their behavior; based on this information, administrators can block foreign applications and prevent them from consuming bandwidth.
