About product

TP-Link TL-SG1210P 10 Gigabit Switch (8 PoE ports)

The TP-Link TL-SG1210P Active Switch will easily connect up to 9 10/100/1000 Mbps capable devices to a 20 Gbps local network. The switch comes with multiple configuration options - up to 4000 MAC addresses can be configured.

Power over Ethernet and sensible management

1-8 ports on the switch support Power Over Ethernet (PoE). These PoE ports can automatically detect and power IEEE 802.3 af/at devices. To protect the device from overload, when the total power consumption is more than the maximum allowed - 63 watts, the priorities will be distributed by the PoE ports so that the lowest priority port will not receive power.

Consistent network performance and traffic optimization for IPTV

For example, administrators can prioritize QoS-based traffic to ensure smooth and consistent voice and video broadcasts without delay. IGMP Snooping optimizes the delivery of multimedia traffic to ensure a stable connection for applications such as IPTV.

FAQ

Pytanie: How to choose a PoE switch?
A PoE Switch acts as both a PSE switch and an access layer switch. Consider the following aspects when selecting a switch:

Physical port

PoE switch is connected to PoE PD devices as an access layer switch, consider the number of PD devices to determine the number of PoE switch interfaces. Also consider the transmission rate of the end devices according to the data type, such as 11AC EAP should connect to Gigabit PoE switch.

PoE power standard

Depending on the PD devices (e.g., AP or IP camera) supported by the PoE protocol (e.g., 802.3af, 802.3at, or passive PoE), PoE switches should be kept compatible with the appropriate PoE power standard.

Pytanie: What is IGMP Snooping?
IGMP Snooping is an Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) traffic filtering protocol that provides a means to efficiently manage the flow of multicast packets so that they only go to the correct host location without overwhelming the entire network with traffic.
