The sensor is an open circuit with an operating amplifier. After placing the sensor's probe in a humid ground, a voltage in the range 0V - 5V inversely proportional to the conductivity of the ground will appear on the analogue output A0. This means that in dry conditions there will be high voltage. Similarly, the sensor can be used as a flood signal - if the ground is flooded the voltage will drop significantly. The sensor also has a digital output D0. The potentiometer can be used to set the sensitivity. Both outputs can be used with Lan Controller or GSM Controller and Arduino boards.
Technical parameters | |
Supply voltage | 3-5V |
Connecting cable length | 20cm |
Sensor length | 45mm |
Electronic system dimensions | 3.2x1.4cm |
Mode of operation | stand alone with relay microcontroller |
Exits | VCC - 3V-5V power supply GND - zero DO - TTL output of 5V switching signal AO - analogue output 0-5V |
Thanks to the digital output we can connect directly under the relay, which will control the pump that will water the plant when the humidity drops below the set value.
