A websmart switch offering basic management options. It is equipped with 8 Gigabit ports, 4 of which allow power to other PoE-enabled devices. Total power budget is 65W.
The HPE 1820 series switches are equipped with an intuitive interface for configuration via a web browser with a powerful navigation panel for easy management even by people without special training. The HPE 1820 switch series is ideal for organisations that require simple solutions. The series provides flexibility and choice through a complete portfolio. Six models are available with rack mounting options, including three models with Ethernet (PoE) power options. Some models are equipped with SFP ports for fiber optic connections. Configurable features include VLANs, Spanning Tree, trunking, link aggregation and IGMP Snooping. All models support RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol) and QoS DSCP.
The HPE 1820 Series switches have the latest power saving features, including Energy Saving Ethernet (IEEE), Idle port shutdown and scheduled PoE port. The model with 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports can be powered by an upstream PoE switch for environments where mains power is not available.
The HPE 1820 series switch gives priority to transmitted packets (such as VoIP and video) that are sensitive to delivery times and have a higher priority than other packets based on DSCP or IEEE 802.1p classification. Packets are mapped to eight hardware queues to improve performance.
