MIMOSA NEW PRODUCTS - A5 and C5
New way to build a WIRELESS NETWORKS
As announced, Mimosa has finally launched new products from the Point-to-Multipoint family, called A5, for a base station available in two different types: 14dBi and 18dBi and an integrated client antenna called C5.
The willingness to provide more and more data and to obtain more and more bandwidth, in places where the noise in the air and conditions do not allow it, has significantly influenced the ideology of building wireless networks.
With the skillful use of MIMO streams, Mimosa proposed its idea of solving the problem of low throughputs in dense areas.

Mimosa A5 Quad-Sector is a new access point with a very high capacity (250+ clients) and advanced interference reduction technology (AGC).

Mimosa A5 Quad -Sector is equipped with 4 individual 90o panels, each sending a MIMO stream and thanks to this solution Mimosa A5 provides extremely high performance in short-range applications. It also provides a high quality service in a market with very high density, where wireless networks could never work so efficiently before.

Mimosa C5 Client is distinguished by its high bandwidth, high gain and ability to connect to any type of network. With this combination of devices, the clients are connected to the access point A5, as follows:

An also important fact is that Mimosa C5 constantly analyzes the spectrum conditions and sends reports of useful channels to the Mimosa Cloud, which helps to select the most optimal operating frequency of the device and automatically change it to a better one, without so much interference. This mode of operation is available when "Auto Everything" is enabled.
Based on all of the above configuration options and the capabilities of the new products, we decided to check how the Mimosa A5 and Mimosa C5 Client.

The conditions in the air are probably best illustrated by the Spectrum Analyzer> - a tool with which Mimosa constantly analyses the available band:

Of course, it is also possible to connect two clients at 80MHz, then the list of clients would look like this:

...but our bandwidth tests were performed in a situation (quite different) where one device was connected at 40 MHz and another at 80 MHz, to one Mimosa A5-18 360 access point of course.
This is the result we obtained with Mikrotik CCR1036-12G-4S-EM and Mikrotik Bandwidth Test:

The results obtained are very satisfactory. Obtaining such bandwidth, where the traffic volume of surrounding antennas and bandwidth usage is very high, is a very big plus for new products Mimosa A5 and C5.
With such a dynamic development of the brand, we can only wait for further improvements by the Mimosa engineers - both for hardware and software.
