Chinese Giant Xiaomi is expanding its portfolio. This time, the offer includes Mi Home Security Camera 1080p (Magnetic Mount), an excellent successor to previous version, which everyone probably knows very well already. This time the manufacturer has presented small size outdoor camera with IP65 rating. It makes the camera MJSXJ02HL ideal for outdoor installation. It is resistant to both water and dust.

The novelty is that the MJSXJ02HL camera has an extremely aesthetic round body and magnetic stand, which allows the camera to be mounted in virtually any location. And we have to admit that the magnet in the Xiaomi camera holds really well and we can mount the device on walls, ceilings or even on the aluminum profiles of suspended ceilings without any problems.

The new WiFi camera by Xiaomi is an improved version of the very popular Mi Home Security Camera Basic. The new MJSXJ02HL model has a much wider viewing angle, which is as big as 170º and the protection rating has been further increased to IP65.
As in the previous version, the camera has been equipped with a two-way communication system (full duplex), but much more improved. Thanks to this, the audio-video communication is more like a phone call than a walkie-talkie (as in the previous models).
Advanced AI Motion Detection technology (AI Motion Detection), avoids false alarms and allows the camera to send a warning only when it detects human motion. Of course, this function does not mean that the camera does not record all movements. Properly selected sensitivity only means a smaller number of notifications sent by the camera.
Image capturing takes place in the form of 1080P FHD at a maximum speed of 20 frames per second and, of course, the camera has built-in infrared 940nm nightvision.

One must admit that the Chinese Giant, cares about the appearance of each of its devices. This is also the case with the new Xiaomi camera! As for the look itself, the camera looks very interesting. A spherical construction and magnetic stand, makes it possible to set the camera in any direction with absolute freedom of movement. Additionally, the sticky magnetic bracket allows you to place the camera in literally any location. You also can't forget about the data storage system, the storage system is similar to previous models and supports MicroSD cards with a maximum size of 32GB. You can also use the Xiaomi cloud.

I guess everyone will agree that our safety goes hand in hand with our comfort. The safety of our loved ones and our home is definitely the most important! Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 1080p (Magnetic mount) records in 1080p full HD and, as we already know, has a ultrawide 170° lens. Additionally, the camera has night vision range (IR range) of up to 10 meters.

Amazingly detailed recordings

The Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera (magnetic mount) allows you to record video in Full HD 1080P resolution at 20 frames per second. Both the image quality and smoothness are incredible, even when watching the recordings on your mobile phone. Very clear image, without pixels and "slideshows", so we have smooth access to the preview of our monitoring.

The new camera from Xiaomi has IP65 rating so it can be mounted outdoors. In addition, the camera has an ultra-wide-angle lens of 170° to cover a much larger area. In this way, the camera very effectively reduces "dead zones".

Save to MicroSD cards + NAS in the cloud

In addition to saving on the MicroSD card, MJSXJ02HL also has the ability to save events in the NAS cloud. This is possible by using compatible routers or other compatible mass storage devices.

Magnetic base

As I mentioned earlier, the camera has a magnetic base. Thanks to this, we can mount and position the camera on any surface, such as a wall, ceiling or any other place.

When it comes to the mobile app, Xiaomi has risen to the challenge again. Additional features such as monitoring assistant or personalised voice emission significantly increase our security. Thanks to these options we can generate short voice messages when unwanted movement occurs. We will then receive a push phone notification, while the camera will play a previously recorded voice message. In addition, we can set the exact time period during which the monitoring assistant will be active. We can also set the sensitivity of the camera to motion and the interval between sent alarms.

Well, you have to admit that Xiaomi is justifiably called the Chinese Giant. Both product quality and mobile device management applications (Mi Home) are at the highest level! Whether they are dryers, air cleaners, Smartwatches or Monitoring cameras. All Xiaomi products are perfect for our homes. But what is particularly noteworthy is the My Home application, which makes it very easy and intuitive to configure and manage all devices. And by adding the option to automate all devices, using Xiaomi products becomes pure pleasure.

In conclusion, the new Mi Home Camera Basic 1080P (Magnetic Mount) certainly deserves recognition. The quality of the recordings, its design and capabilities of the monitoring assistant and, of course, the price - all this clearly speaks in its favour. Looking at such a dynamic development of the Xiaomi brand we can only wait for further products, which will probably be used in every household. To sum up. The most interesting thing is how the new Xiaomi portfolio will look like in 2021. We are looking forward to it!
